Earthly Angels: David Chen’s Survival of Famine and Persecution

Dear Mr. Chen,

Words cannot express the tremendous joy it has been to us; reading about your life and how God has so greatly taken care of you, answered the question of my heart? “Where is Mr. Chen?”

When I was a young child, I first heard your name spoken in our home. Then and many times my family prayed for you. During those years news was very sparse due to your imprisonment and the bamboo curtain. I would wonder in my heart and as I prayed, “Where is Mr. David Chen? Lord, give Him courage, wisdom, protection, and joy wherever he is.”

You can see why I was so excited when I read your book. God had given me the answer to all my questions about you through the years. Thank you dear friend for being the Christian hero in my life. We all need people who encourage us to run the race well–you have done this.

We served with New Tribes for 16 years in the Philippines then for 17 years in the USA with New Tribes Mission Aviation.

We continue to pray for the persecuted Christians around the World, “Come Lord Jesus.” God’s continued blessings dear friend.
